FAQ
Sixteen things people ask most
Built from questions that genuinely came in over WhatsApp. If yours is not here, send it and we will add it.

Ordering and scheduling
What is the minimum order?
It depends on two things, the menu and the zone, and whichever is larger applies. The Daily Rice Box has a 20 portion minimum, but if you are in Uluwatu the zone minimum is 40, so 40 is what counts. The calculator on every menu page already works this out for you.
What is the order cut-off, and why does it differ by zone?
It is the latest we can accept an order for the next day. Sanur 17.00, Kuta 16.00, Seminyak 15.00, Canggu 14.00, Ubud 13.00, Uluwatu 12.00. The further out, the earlier, because one van only manages two runs a morning and a far zone eats both, so the route has to be built earlier.
Can I order same day?
Sometimes, but only the Daily Rice Box, only to Sanur or Kuta, and only if your order lands before 9am. Nothing else works because the other menus need 6 to 48 hours. Every menu page lists its own lead time.
How far ahead should I book?
For boxes, three days is comfortable. For buffets and tumpeng, a week. For anything above 300 portions, two weeks, because we have to hire extra chafing dishes and add a shift.
What if my date is already full?
We tell you it is full and offer another date. Our capacity is 6 events a day, and that is a hard limit from two vans, two runs a morning, and one packing room. We will not take a seventh and quietly lower the standard for the other six.
Prices and payment
Do the prices include tax?
The prices on the pricing page are what you pay for the food itself. The 10 percent PB1 local tax is added on the invoice as required by Denpasar city rules, shown as a separate line so you can check it. Delivery fees are not subject to PB1.
Why are child prices 60 percent rather than half?
Because children aged 5 to 12 really do eat around 60 percent of an adult portion, and they eat the same dishes with less rice. Setting it at 50 percent means we lose money every time a family group arrives, and we would rather print the right number than the flattering one.
Are there seasonal prices?
Yes, three windows a year, all published on the pricing page with dates and reasons. One of them is actually 10 percent cheaper, during the quiet season. The two that go up are the Galungan and Kuningan period and the end of year.
How much is the deposit and is it refundable?
A 30 percent deposit. Cancel more than 7 days out and it comes back in full. Cancel 3 to 7 days out and half comes back. Inside 3 days it is kept, because the fresh shopping is already done and cannot be redirected.
Can you invoice a company and issue a tax invoice?
Yes. Send your company details and tax number once at the start and every order after that uses them automatically. For repeat orders we send a monthly summary in a single file, on 14 day terms.
Food and delivery
Do you hold a halal certificate?
No, and we will not claim to. What we can say plainly: our kitchen has not cooked pork at all since 2016, and there is no alcohol in our cooking. Those are facts about the kitchen, not a certificate. If your event requires the formal certification, we are not the right caterer, and we will say so at the start.
Can you do vegetarian or vegan?
For most menus, and the mark is on each menu page. The Home-Style Buffet and Event Buffet have fully vegan versions cooked in separate pans. For rice boxes, a vegetarian version is always possible. Tell us the count when you order and we label those boxes by name.
What about guests with allergies?
Name the allergy rather than saying 'someone has an allergy'. Nuts and seafood are the two most common and they need different handling. We prepare separate portions with name stickers. What we cannot promise is a fully trace-free kitchen, because peanuts appear in a lot of our menus.
Why can hot buffets not go to Ubud and Uluwatu?
Because those drives are 70 and 85 minutes, and our safe limit for a hot buffet is 60. Past that the core temperature of the rice and anything in sauce drops below 60 degrees and the texture changes. For those two zones we offer rice boxes or canapes, which actually arrive in good condition.
What happens if the food is late or wrong?
If it is our fault, we resend if there is still time, or cut the bill that same day. No long argument over chat. Our delivery log ran at 97 percent on time across 2025, and every one of the other three percent was made good.
When do you collect the serving equipment?
Chafing dishes, bamboo trays, and grazing boards are collected by our crew the same day, once the event finishes. If it is an evening event a long way out we collect the next morning, and that is already in the menu price.
